Data Wave connects to the Internet Backbone at the Network Operations Center to secure a 1 Gbps data path. Our network backbone is a Wireless WAN that utilizes direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) products based on 802.11a, and providing advanced security. In
addition, we use high performance firewalls for business applications.
Our signal is transmitted from the Headend Tower to the nearest Point of Presence (POP). From there, the signal is beamed to an access point at your business site. For bandwidths smaller than 100 Mbps, a small, low profile antenna of 8"-24" is installed.
At MDU and MTU locations, we can connect to individual offices, suites, or units, using existing telephone lines with phone/data jacks and router.
For business locations with existing wired LANs, we connect using a gateway router into your existing firewall.
